Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about publishing on One Dollar Post.
What can I post about?
Anything. Opinions, stories, questions, rants, reviews, advice, creative writing, politics, hobbies, work, life—any topic with real substance. This is not limited to letters or civic messages.
Why does it cost $1?
Because the dollar is part of the idea. Every post here is something someone chose to spend $1 putting into the world. That small commitment encourages people to pause, choose their words, and share something they care about. It also makes mass spam more expensive and helps support the site.
You’re paying for the opportunity to publish a post that follows our rules. Attention and replies aren’t guaranteed. You are not buying ranking or reach.
Optional upgrades may increase the total. You review the price before payment. All payments are non-refundable.
Is there an account or login?
No. After you pay, save your post link from the confirmation page (and optionally My posts in this browser). If you lose the link, we may not be able to help you find it again.
Is posting anonymous?
On the wall, yes. We do not ask you to sign in or put your name on your post. What gets approved is shown without a byline or profile.
Stripe may ask for an email (or other checkout details) when you pay. That is normal for card payments: receipts, fraud checks, and how Stripe runs checkout. That information is for billing — not for labeling your post. We do not show your payment email on the wall, and visitors cannot look up “who wrote this” from your checkout details.
Paying and publishing are separate steps. Anonymous does not mean invisible: once approved, your words are public. Do not write anything you are not willing to share openly. Save your private confirmation link if you want to find your post again; that link is not the same as your payment email on the public page.
How long does a post need to be?
At least 200 characters. That keeps the wall from filling up with one-line link drops. The editor shows your count as you write.
Can I add links?
Yes — up to two external links in the post body. Every outbound link, including social profiles, is marked nofollow and sponsored. Buying a post will not pass search ranking to another site. Paste the full destination URL; shorteners such as Bitly or TinyURL are not allowed.
What gets moderated?
Posts are reviewed for threats of violence, hate speech against protected groups, spam, scams, illegal content, and similar serious violations. Crude language, insults, and angry tone are generally allowed—we do not require politeness.
What if my post is not approved?
Denied posts are not published. Payment is not refunded. See our Terms and Conditions and disclaimer.
How do I find my post again?
Use the link on the thank-you page, bookmark it, or open My posts in the same browser. Once published, your post has a public URL you can share.
